A note from Richard:
This site has been online for more than six years and during that time it has remained largely unchanged. Well folks, it's time for a major overhaul. After working for the Charlotte Observer's Magazine division for 13 years, I recently left my position as chief photographer for the magazines. It was a hell of a run, but I realized that it was time to explore new opportunities.
In the coming months, I'll be updating the site to better reflect the projects I'm currently working on. In the meantime, here's a link to some recent images:
